Celebrating AAPI Month in Chicago's historic Chinatown

The Center for Future Innovators set up shop in Chicago’s famous Chinatown this weekend to celebrate Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month! Over thirty kids ages 5 – 15 completed their first ever 4-H project with 4-H international educator Tim He. Tim taught the students how to make seed bombs. These seed bombs were made from recylced paper pulp and filled with native wildflowers chosen by our resident Master Gardener to help Chicago’s native bee and pollinator population. Check out the video of Mr. He making a seed bomb and join our summer Junior Master Gardener classes to build your own and more.

A special thank you to Mayor Lori Lightfoot who sent us a warm letter congratulating our members for finishing their Minecraft class and celebrating AAPI month!
