2026 Summer Camps at CFI Robotics NFP

CFI Admin Team

Feb 4, 2026

Hands-on learning. Big ideas. Confident creators.

Summer at CFI Robotics NFP is built for students who love to explore, build, test, and create. Our camps are energetic, project-based, and designed so students are active participants in their learning every single day. Campers do not just follow instructions. They think like engineers, scientists, designers, and problem solvers.

Each week blends hands-on engineering, science exploration, creativity, teamwork, outdoor time, and reflection. Students leave with completed projects, new skills, and the confidence to explain what they built and why it works.

How a Day at CFI Summer Camp Is Organized

The Future Innovators Framework

Every CFI summer camp follows our Future Innovators Framework, a flexible daily structure that keeps students engaged, challenged, and excited to learn. While each camp has its own theme and projects, this framework gives families a clear picture of how learning flows throughout the day and builds across the week.

Students move through four types of learning experiences each day, allowing them to explore ideas, apply skills, collaborate with peers, and dive deeper into meaningful projects.

Engage and Energize

Each day begins by sparking curiosity and setting the tone. Campers are introduced to the day’s theme through short challenges, demonstrations, stories, or group discussions that get them thinking and asking questions. This session helps students connect ideas and builds excitement before jumping into hands-on work.

Hands-On Exploration

This is where learning gets active. Campers build, code, experiment, and test ideas using materials and technology tied to the camp theme. Whether students are engineering robots, designing structures, running experiments, or creating digital worlds, learning happens through doing.

Creative Problem Solving

Students collaborate in pairs or teams to brainstorm ideas, solve challenges, and improve their designs. Campers learn that great solutions come from testing, redesigning, and learning from mistakes. This part of the day emphasizes teamwork, communication, and creative thinking.

Deep Dive

The Deep Dive is where everything comes together. Campers focus on advanced builds, research, documentation, and preparation for final presentations. Students refine their projects, reflect on what they learned, and build confidence explaining how their work functions and why their design choices matter.

Camp Experiences for Summer 2026

Each camp uses the same strong structure while offering a completely unique theme and set of projects.

Minecraft: Survival Inside and Out

June 15–19 | Grades 3+

Students explore survival skills both in Minecraft and the real world as they design shelters, tools, and systems built to last. Campers blend digital worldbuilding with hands-on crafting and engineering projects inspired by history and survival science. This camp is adventurous, creative, and packed with problem-solving.

STEAM Camp: Space

June 22–26 | Grades 3+

Campers blast off into space science and engineering through rockets, rovers, drones, and flight experiments. Students design, build, test, and redesign real-world projects while exploring the science behind space exploration. This camp is fast-paced, exciting, and full of engineering challenges.

STEAM Camp: Ocean Exploration

June 29–July 3 | Grades 3+

Students dive into marine science, environmental studies, and ocean engineering through hands-on labs and creative builds. Campers design coral reefs, test water quality, build underwater robots, and document discoveries like real scientists. This camp blends science, creativity, and exploration into an unforgettable experience.

Minecraft: Engineers of the Block

July 6–10 | Grades 3+

This engineering-focused Minecraft camp challenges students to think like architects and designers. Campers build structures in Minecraft while also tackling real-world engineering projects such as bridges and towers. It is a perfect mix of creativity, design thinking, and hands-on construction.

STEAM Camp: Ancient Engineers

July 20–24 | Grades 3+

Students travel back in time to explore how ancient civilizations solved engineering problems. Campers build catapults, structures, and machines inspired by historical technologies while learning how innovation evolved over time. History comes alive through building, testing, and creative experimentation.

Minecraft: Adventure Architects

July 27–31 | Grades 3+

Campers become world designers as they plan and build immersive Minecraft environments. Students focus on architecture, Redstone systems, storytelling, and collaborative design while also completing hands-on engineering challenges. This camp is ideal for creative thinkers who love building big ideas.

FLL – Masterpiece

August 3–7 | Grades 3+

Students prepare for the next FIRST LEGO League season by working through a complete past season from start to finish. Campers focus on the Robot Game, including robot design, attachment building, programming, and full table runs, just like a real competition team. This camp helps students build confidence, understand the competition process, and feel prepared for the upcoming season.

FLL – Unearthed

August 11–14 | Grades 3+

Students prepare for the next FIRST LEGO League season by working through a complete past season from start to finish. Campers focus on the Robot Game, including robot design, attachment building, programming, and full table runs, just like a real competition team. This camp helps students build confidence, understand the competition process, and feel prepared for the upcoming season.

Built for All Experience Levels

CFI camps are designed for beginners and returning students alike. Guided instruction, examples, and support help new students succeed, while open-ended challenges and extensions push experienced campers further. Youth Leadership Team members support campers throughout the week, helping students gain confidence and independence.

More Than a Camp, It’s a Showcase

Every camp ends with a student presentation or showcase. Campers explain their projects, share what they learned, and celebrate their accomplishments with families. These moments build confidence, communication skills, and pride in learning.
