At CFI Robotics, we believe that the best way to learn is by doing. Our FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Summer Camps provide students in grades 4–8 with an opportunity to explore engineering, coding, and real-world problem-solving through our Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach.

As a nonprofit organization, our mission is to inspire young minds and expand access to high-quality STEM education. With camps taught by our award-winning FLL team coaches, campers not only learn robotics but also develop the teamwork, creativity, and critical thinking skills necessary for success in future competitions and beyond.

This success is the result of our structured, hands-on approach to learning. We emphasize problem-solving, engineering design, and strategy, all of which are key components of our FIRST LEGO League Summer Camps.

A Hands-On, Project-Based Learning Experience

At CFI Robotics, we use a Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach in all of our programs, including our summer camps. Rather than simply teaching students how to code or build robots, we guide them through real-world problem-solving challenges that mirror those in FLL competitions.

Throughout each camp, students will:

✅ Define a problem related to the camp’s theme

✅ Research solutions and explore real-world applications

✅ Design and build robots to complete specific missions

✅ Test, iterate, and refine their designs

✅ Present their findings and robot performance strategies

This hands-on approach ensures that campers not only develop technical skills but also learn how to think critically, collaborate with teammates, and present their ideas confidently—all essential skills for both robotics competitions and the future workforce.

FIRST LEGO League Summer Camps: Learn from the Best

Our FLL camps are designed for students of all experience levels. Whether your child is new to robotics or looking to refine their competition skills, these camps provide an engaging, structured, and hands-on environment where they can experiment, problem-solve, and grow.

FLL Submerged Camp 🌊

📅 Dates: June 23 – 27📍

Location: CFI Robotics Bridgeport Center

👥 Grades: Rising 4th – 8th

Dive into the world of FIRST LEGO League with an ocean-inspired challenge. Campers will build and program robots to complete underwater-themed missions while learning:

✅ Intro to FLL Table Missions & Robot Base Design

✅ Driving & Maneuvering through Water-Themed Obstacles

✅ Attachment Building & Testing

✅ Presentation Prep & Mission Strategy

This camp is a great way for students to develop problem-solving and engineering skills while having fun exploring ocean-inspired robotics challenges.

FLL Super Powered Camp ⚡

📅 Dates: August 11 – 15

📍 Location: CFI Robotics Bridgeport Center

👥 Grades: Rising 4th – 8th

Campers will explore renewable energy solutions and apply their skills to electricity-themed missions. Throughout the week, they will:

✅ Develop Energy & Robotics Fundamentals

✅ Prototype Attachments for Power Missions

✅ Participate in Coding & Strategy Sessions

✅ Refine Presentation Skills and Mission Strategy

This camp is ideal for students interested in engineering, energy solutions, and robotics strategy, helping them gain a strong foundation for future FLL competitions.

A Nonprofit Camp with Real Impact

CFI Robotics is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, meaning that every camp registration directly supports our mission of expanding STEM education. Unlike many robotics programs, our camps are taught by experienced FLL coaches who bring years of competition experience and expertise to the classroom.

By participating in our summer camps, students are not only learning valuable robotics and coding skills but also supporting the growth of STEM programs for students in underserved communities.
