Robo-Sumo Battle Night: Big Builds, Epic Battles, and Major Wins!

What a night! Thank you to everyone who joined us for our URC Robo-Sumo Battle Night at the CFI Bridgeport Center. It was a nonstop evening of building, battling, and celebrating serious STEM skills.

From the first match to the final championship round, students showed incredible creativity, teamwork, and quick thinking. Every robot was unique. Every battle was intense. Every student left with new skills, new friends, and unforgettable memories.

What is Competition Night?

Competition Night is one of the most exciting events at CFI. Each month, students take on a brand-new robotics or coding challenge that tests creativity, engineering, and strategic thinking.

Every Competition Night includes:

This month's theme was Robo-Sumo, a thrilling test of engineering and strategy where students built and battled robots to push their opponents out of the ring.

Highlights from Robo-Sumo Night:

Using the URC Gladiator Kit, students worked on building strong, fast, and smart robots. They were not just aiming to build the biggest robot, but to create a machine that could outthink and outmaneuver the competition.

Throughout the night, students:

🔧 Learned the official Robo-Sumo rules and strategies

🔧 Built and modified their robots for strength, traction, and balance

🔧 Practiced and tested different designs

🔧 Battled head-to-head in round robin matches and advanced to the final tournament

The energy was high, the competition was fierce, and the creativity on display was amazing.
