Team 2558A Floppy Fish Earns Judges Award at VEX V5 Illinois State Championship

Throughout the season, the team put in the work to get to this level. They redesigned their robot from the ground up, focusing on a simpler and more efficient build. This allowed them to improve reliability, refine their coding, and execute stronger autonomous and driver-controlled routines.

Beyond the build, the team spent hours practicing, testing, and adjusting their strategy. From match play to skills runs, they continued to learn from each competition and make targeted improvements. That preparation showed at State, where their performance stood out.

Their efforts were recognized with the Judges Award, highlighting not just how their robot performed, but the engineering process, teamwork, and growth behind it.

Team members Kevin, Jeremy, and Ted have shown strong commitment all season, and this recognition reflects the work they put in to reach this level.
