Team 2558A Floppy Fish Qualifies for VEX V5 State Competition

After a dominant showing at the Great Lakes V5RC Push Back event, CFI Robotics’ Team 2558A Floppy Fish earned a 3rd place overall finish and secured their spot at the VEX V5 State Competition this March.
Team 2558A Floppy Fish competed at the Great Lakes #2 event, marking their second official meet of the VEX V5 season. The team delivered an exceptional performance throughout the day, finishing qualification matches with a perfect 7–0 record and placing 3rd overall among a highly competitive field.
In addition to their strong match play, the team also competed in the Skills Challenge. They placed 4th overall with a combined score of 106 points, earning 79 points in Driver Skills and 27 points in Autonomous Skills. This performance currently ranks Team 2558A 4th in the state and officially qualifies them for the VEX V5 State Competition taking place in March.
The event was hosted by Worcester Polytechnic Institute and featured teams from across the region competing in the VEX V5RC Push Back challenge. Team 2558A’s consistency, strategy, and continued improvement were on full display throughout the tournament.
Team members Kevin, Jeremy, and Ted have shown tremendous dedication this season, and the team is proud of the progress they have made so far. They are excited to continue refining their robot, improving their skills scores, and representing CFI Robotics at the state level.
