Ever wondered how maple syrup is made? This February, the Center for Future Innovators, the Blue Island Forestry Board, and the Blue Island Parks Department are teaming up to bring you a Maple Tree Tapping Experience at Memorial Park!
This free, family-friendly event offers a hands-on opportunity to learn the art and science of maple syrup making—from tapping a tree to collecting sap and understanding how it transforms into the syrup we love.

Participants will work alongside experts to explore the traditional process of tree tapping, sap collection, and syrup production while learning about the importance of local forests and sustainability.
